veils

I was listening to talksport today ,the question was on the wearing of veils. When this blew up some weeks ago my first thought was that terrorists could use these as disguises, man or woman? no one could be sure, long dresses a full face cover...spooky.Today a muslim leader spoke out against the wearing of veils on the grounds of fairness and womens freedoms, and pointed out that nowhere in islam does it say women should be veiled,i dont know about that, but what i do know is we should ban them immediately in public,in private do what you like, but do not think you have the right to come to this country and walk around with your face covered and think that it is your right. When you adopt a country as your home you must obey that countrys laws and customs ,our law assumes that if youve got your face covered your up to no good ,to right, also the custom of this country is to have you face uncovered for all to see, honest and open, right on,equal rights?,can you imagine the opposite being the norm?,religion has nothing to do with it ,a red herring as usual by the agitators and wind up merchants.I cant believe any sensible sane person could have any other view(how naive am i by the way).
