Hospitals

My son has just had a third operation for a broken schaphoid bone, the first was an unsuccessful pinning, the second was an unsuccessful graft, the final option is a plate to fix the wrist rigid, this (hopefully )will allow him to resume a normal life.I cant say im impressed with the surgeon involved,in the middle of treatment he went off sick for several months, his deputy was not prepared and unwilling to attempt any surgery,so a third surgeon was found ,he was set to do the operation when the original surgeon returned .He had explained the second operation to my son before he went missing, but now had changed his mind (or forgotten)and decided to try something else,a radical graft which meant he broke the wrist and regrafted it (i think). This was a balls up,he had the cast off for a few days but the pain was so severe he had to have it recast and an immediate date for the third and final operation was set. This was done last week,a two and a half hour operation,my son discharged himself a day later, disgusted by the lazy nurses and lack of contact from the surgeon,he now must wait for an appointment to be explained how it went, what was done and what he can expect ,typical?,i hope not,is Bishop Auckland in Tonys constituency ?.
