Hospitals

My son has just had a third operation for a broken schaphoid bone, the first was an unsuccessful pinning, the second was an unsuccessful graft, the final option is a plate to fix the wrist rigid, this (hopefully )will allow him to resume a normal life.I cant say im impressed with the surgeon involved,in the middle of treatment he went off sick for several months, his deputy was not prepared and unwilling to attempt any surgery,so a third surgeon was found ,he was set to do the operation when the original surgeon returned .He had explained the second operation to my son before he went missing, but now had changed his mind (or forgotten)and decided to try something else,a radical graft which meant he broke the wrist and regrafted it (i think). This was a balls up,he had the cast off for a few days but the pain was so severe he had to have it recast and an immediate date for the third and final operation was set. This was done last week,a two and a half hour operation,my son discharged himself a day later, disgusted by the lazy nurses and lack of contact from the surgeon,he now must wait for an appointment to be explained how it went, what was done and what he can expect ,typical?,i hope not,is Bishop Auckland in Tonys constituency ?.

veils

I was listening to talksport today ,the question was on the wearing of veils. When this blew up some weeks ago my first thought was that terrorists could use these as disguises, man or woman? no one could be sure, long dresses a full face cover...spooky.Today a muslim leader spoke out against the wearing of veils on the grounds of fairness and womens freedoms, and pointed out that nowhere in islam does it say women should be veiled,i dont know about that, but what i do know is we should ban them immediately in public,in private do what you like, but do not think you have the right to come to this country and walk around with your face covered and think that it is your right. When you adopt a country as your home you must obey that countrys laws and customs ,our law assumes that if youve got your face covered your up to no good ,to right, also the custom of this country is to have you face uncovered for all to see, honest and open, right on,equal rights?,can you imagine the opposite being the norm?,religion has nothing to do with it ,a red herring as usual by the agitators and wind up merchants.I cant believe any sensible sane person could have any other view(how naive am i by the way).

dont vote tory.... use your brain.

I cant believe that the torys are ahead in the polls, they must have polled halfwit city.Does no one remember the last tory government?, in fact, all the tory governments have been the same ,promise the earth to get in ,say what you have to to win a vote, lie and lie again, never answer a straight question, always prevaricate until everyone gets fed up.I accept that Tony and his party still have a way to go ,but for gods sake why cant people see that the difference between the partys is one makes a mandate and tries with all of its power to see it through, although opposed at every turn by the press and media circus, and the tory sleaze machine ,and the other just says what it thinks you want to hear, and has no intention of even trying to fulfil its empty promises.Ten years is not a long time to turn round the mess that Thatcher and her cronies created, dont forget how easy it is to knock something down, and how hard to rebuild.Privatisation, the NHS ,roads and public transport, the mining industry, the poll tax, school investment,pensions,inflation,re-possessions,interest rates, unemployment, manufactoring industries, crime and punishment, everyone of these vital issues ignored or mismanaged by inept tory ministers led by a corrupt tory hierachy .
